Busy week so far

Karly naps in her crib for the first time.
It didn't last long, but was a start.

Tummy time! Still sucking on her hands.
Actually, she sucked on he arm so much she gave herself a hickey.
Can you say lunch time?

Went jogging for the first time. Was faster than I expected,
but still slow. She slept most of the 2 1/2 miles.
Man am I sore today!

Our puddles after the rain. From so dry we have out-of-control
wildfires in Jan to puddles and erosion literally overnight.

Karly watching football. Sad game, where's the offense?

Unexpectedly drove to Squaw Valley because Allan couldn't find
the car keys. The boys had the ski racks almost transferred
to my Highlander when he found them at the bottom of his pants
in between the layers. Saved a locksmith and a trip home
to get the spare keys.Had I been thinking clearly, I should
have worn my snow gear and done a couple runs with
Jesse watching the baby!

It was cold up there! Karly slept most of the trip.

1 Whole Month

Karly turns 1 month!
Even though you can't see the sign, I loved the look on her face in this picture.

Love the little dress. It's still a bit big.

Lucy got a sweater. Thanks Nana!

She now likes to chew on her hands.

She started smiling. I love it!

Awesome cleaning solution!

Found this on pinterest! Cleaned my baking sheet (that I've owned since before college) with a paste made of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide with AMAZING results! I didn't even have to scrub and as you can see by the edges, the sheet was filthy. Just washed with a scotchbrite sponge. Can't wait to try some of the other fun things that I've found. Thanks Tara for the pinterest introduction!

Tuesday!

Today was a good sleep day. Karly slept in 2 1/2 hour increments last night all the way up to 8 am which means I feel rested, hooray! It seems that when she sleeps good at night, she naps good the next day. The swing is an amazing thing! Yesterday, she wouldn't let me put her down. She would fall asleep, but wake up every time I laid her down. Today, I decided to try the swing, and what a difference! She slept enough for me to pick up the house, making me feel much better. This morning, we went to dog training even though it was only 18 degrees outside. The sun was shining and there was no wind, so we thought we'd give it a try. Plus, the group was meeting literally just up the street. I packed most of our snow gear in the car and we headed out. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Karly in her tiny snowsuit, but I forgot. There is always next time. Turns out, with the sun and hiking, I only needed a hat and sweatshirt to keep me warm. That, and holding the tiny baby in a huge snowsuit. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home, and otherwise had a nice quiet day.

New life, new blog

Here is Miss Karly! At 3 1/2 weeks old, she is finally up to birth weight which was kind of a struggle. We have done everything possible to increase my milk supply and keep her awake while eating and apparently it's working. Life is definitely different, but wonderful! She actually let me sleep in this morning, which was much needed! We are slowly figuring things out, but its certainly not easy. Jesse has been a huge help so far; I would be lost without his calmness! He is attempting to ski today though we haven't had any precipitation in quite awhile. Luckily, it's in the forecast for next week. I must get to work on baby shower stuff for Tara because I only have 3 weeks left and am working around Karly's schedule now! I have quickly learned that time is precious and to take advantage while she's sleeping!
